James Mosher, French Hornist

At the age of 12 I began playing the French horn and it has been my primary passion throughout my life. Since receiving my Master of Music Degree from Yale University, I have lived in many years in the Boston, Massachusetts area, where I am a horn soloist, chamber and orchestral musician. I play many genres of music, from baroque and classical on natural and horns to Romantic era and contemporary idioms on the modern French horn. I also play jazz, broadway shows and orchestral pops music. I am director of two chamber music groups, both of which I founded, the Brass Consortium and the NEC Horn Trio.
