Jim co-founded the Brass Consortium and has been its director since its inception in 1992. The Brass Consortium is comprised of some of the most highly-regarded brass professionals in the Boston area, who are faculty members and alumni of New England Conservatory, Berklee College of Music and Boston University School For The Arts. The Brass Consortium is a very versatile ensemble, able to perform as a quartet, quintet and large brass ensemble. The Brass Consortium has a widely varied active repertoire and regularly appears in ceremonies including assemblies, commencement exercises, recitals, private functions, and other special events.
